The Web’s Riskiest Search Terms
By Sean ~ June 9th, 2009. Filed under: Security, Web.
MacAfee has published a interesting look into the most dangerous search terms on the web. Most people know that searching for porn or cracked programs will inevitably lead you to sites that will try to steal your information via phishing or some sort of malware. The interesting thing about this report is that those who run malicious sites are casting a much wider net. Most of the terms are song lyrics or games. The whole report provides some interesting data, but it really illustrates a good point that you need to take security measures wherever you are on the web, not just in areas that you think might be sketchy.
